This filter is designed to reduce chloramine, PFAS, chlorine, volatile organic compounds (VOCs), and fine particulates commonly found in municipal water supplies.

Catalytic carbon is a specialised form of activated carbon engineered to break down chloramine, which standard carbon filters are less effective at removing. It also improves reduction of persistent chemical contaminants such as PFAS.

When installed after proper sediment filtration, pressure drop is minimal and unnoticeable under normal household demand. The high-density carbon block balances filtration performance with consistent flow.

Yes. This filter is constructed from food-grade, BPA-free materials and is suitable for potable water applications throughout the home.

This filter cartridge fits all Pure₂O Whole-House Water Filtration system, and all other standard 20” x 4.5” whole-house housings only, including most Big Blue systems. It is not compatible with slimline 10” housings.
When to Replace
Replace this filter when:
Chlorine or chemical taste and odour begin to return
Water flow noticeably reduces
The filter has been in service for 6–12 months
Homes on chloraminated town water or with higher chemical loads may require more frequent replacement.
Compatibility Note
This cartridge is designed for all Pure₂O Whole-House Water Filtration Systems and any other standard 20” x 4.5” whole-house filter housings only.
It is not compatible with slimline or under-sink systems.
